FlexNet Operations 2017
Each bulk entitlement has a set of Web register keys that end users use to turn on license rights for their software. Web register keys can be added in more than one set and can be added after the bulk entitlement is deployed.
The total number of Web register keys that have been added to the entitlement and the number that have already been activated are displayed.
Select Auto Generate to let FlexNet Operations create Web register keys for the specified number of copies, or select User Supplied to specify a file that contains Web register keys. (Web register keys can also be imported using a FlexNet Operations Web service.)
Important • Whether using the Auto Generate or User Supplied option, you must configure the alert, Importing Bulk Entitlement Web Register Keys, before loading Web register keys. This alert runs a job that periodically checks whether there are any Web register keys to import, and it can be configured to send an email with the status of the import. See Configuring Alert Behavior for instructions.
Note • To show the Load Web Register Keys page, open the Create Bulk Entitlement page for the bulk entitlement to which you want to add Web register keys and click Next.
To load Web register keys
| 1. | On the Load Web Register Keys page, choose either Auto Generate or User Supplied: |
| • | Select Auto Generate to automatically generate Web register key values. Then enter the number of Web register keys to generate for this entitlement. |
| • | Select User Supplied to supply Web register key, yourself, from an XML file. Then use the on-page controls to choose the XML file that contains the Web register key values. (See Specifying User-Supplied Web Register Keys for details about the format and syntax of the XML file.) |
| 2. | Click Save to submit the request to load Web register keys. |
If the Importing Bulk Entitlement Web Register Keys alert is configured, FlexNet Operations processes the import request and notifies you of the status of the import request.
| 3. | Click Complete when you are done creating or editing the bulk entitlement. The bulk entitlement must be deployed before any activations can be done against it. |
Tip • To manually add individual Web register keys, follow the instructions in Adding a Web Register Key .
