A Bulk Entitlement can be created when licenses are distributed through a reseller or channel. The producer creates a bulk entitlement for a single product and generates one or more Web register keys that each provides rights to one or more licenses. The reseller then gives one or more Web register keys to the consumer that purchases the software.
The consumer registers the software with the producer or manufacturer using the Web register key. This allows software producers and device manufacturers to track two pieces of information:
| • | who purchased the bulk entitlement (the reseller) |
| • | who registered the license (the consumer) |
In addition, the reseller can access End-User Portal to view the bulk entitlements that they purchased, the Web register keys for these bulk entitlements that have not yet been allocated and the Web register keys that were registered from these bulk entitlements.
